Mods - any chance we can do a sticky thread on the above subject.
What needs to be taken / differences between coutries etc / legal requirements for driving in Europe etc..looking at previous threads, seems to be (in no particular order):
- Hi Viz vest (essential)
- First Aid Kit (essential)
- Fire Extinguisher (is this still a legal req in Europe ??)
- Triangle reflector (essential)
- Gloves (essential)
- Helmet (hire at track or buy / essential)
- 1 litre of Oil (optional)
- Insurance (type? / recommendations)
- Driving licence
- Breakdown cover (if without BMW Warranty / breakdown)
- Additional brake pads ? (how much do standards hurt on track days ?)
- Wheels / Cups (optional)
- Ensure Tow eye on car
- Ensure noise within limits
Do you blank number plates ?
Do you tape up front lights ?
Any tips on etiquette ?
What else is should be on there ? Any useful links ?
