I've seen this done a fair few times, the sound of these is pretty good, and a lot of the weight is removed too from the OEM box.
It's quite a cost effective way of having a better sound without the cost of a replacement rear box.
There is a chap on cutters who does it, he's done a lot of M3 / E60 M5 rear boxes, and tbh they sound pretty nice, nice way of getting more noise with OEM looks which some people prefer.
