Hi,
Exciting day for me today as I'm collecting my CSL which I've bought from toplad.
I first saw the car over a month ago, but it's taken rather longer than expected to complete the sale. Long story short, I went to view the car and arranged an inspection (with
http://www.vehicle-inspections.co.uk). Although that showed the car was generally sound, there was a small subframe crack. We agreed a sale on the basis that toplad sorted this issue.
A West Yorkshire dealership sent off for authorisation but advised that they'd only cover half the cost. I'm a CSL newbie but I've read enough to know that's nonsense and toplad wasn't having it either. Thanks to the forum we know that Elms in Cambridge has a great reputation and has fixed this issue many times, so toplad took the car to them for repair.
Needless to say, Elms said they'd do the work FOC, and I got the good news on Thursday that the car is fixed and ready for collection.
Looking forward to reporting on the return journey... time to try to get some sleep.
