I'm rather less militant than you Neil - although I do make the kids (8 & 10 now) take their shoes off for longer journeys.
For me a big attraction of the CSL is that you can fit stuff in the back with the seats down, and it's very viable for ferrying the kids around occasionally. You do have to be a bit careful with the cheapo plastic bits and CF centre console, but if you're not going to use the rear seats or boot, why not get a GT3 instead ?
