I've had ao48's but not r888's and on a different car as well.... so can't really offer you much advice
I had
used kumho's at donny, that have worn surprisingly little considering i did just over 200 miles and traction was off, grip is down on cups I would say, as shimmy overtook me while i was struggling for grip but they are 2007 vintage.... more excuses are that it was my first day in the m3, in rwd too, and my car is 200kg heavier than his
