Soon as I back off it will stop flashing. Occasionally it might stay on but goes away when engine restarted, normally it will stop flashing and go off when you stop driving hard.

Weather was hot on both occasions.
Check your hydraulic SMG fluid, its a sign of getting hot.

I would change the fluid and re-bleed the smg system.
