Silverstone Classic 2013

As it's the 10th anniversary of the E46 CSL it would be great if we could get a big turnmout at the Silverstone Classic from you guys...

Following the huge success of the 2012 Silverstone Classic and Z Fest the BMW Car Club is once again attending the event in July this year (26th to the 28th).

Last year we held the "Z" fest, this year we are extending it to cover both Z's and also now MPower cars, but this does not mean that you can't come along if you don't own either an M or a Z, we want as many BMW's on display as possible, we want to give the organisers a headache wondering how on earth they are going to accommodate us all!

The organisers have given us a parade lap on the Saturday evening between about 6pm and 7pm for the MPower and Z cars, it should be quite a spectacle!

All Club members and potential members are welcome to join us on the club's stand and we encourage you all to buy your tickets early as this is the cheapest option. The Silverstone Classic booking office has now opened and we have a club discount code (C13225, http://silverstoneclassic.seetickets...ferCode=C13225) you’ll need to use this code if you want to display with the BMW Car Club and take part in the parade lap. Right now you can get the tickets on a buy-one-get-one-free basis but that ends at the end of May (although it’s cheaper to get the tickets before the end of March).

As well as the display area and parade lap we have also organised a hotel reasonably close by at Crick and will be cruising in on the Saturday morning to a dedicated BMW Car Club entrance (this entrance is for us to use on all three days), the hotel details can be found here:

http://www.holidayinn.com/hotels/us/...?groupCode=M4M

This hotel has been nominated as the MPower hotel (we have other hotels for the Z’s) but anyone can use the links if you are coming along and joining us on the display. The room rates depend on the room standard chosen, standard rooms are £40 per night and the executive rooms are £56 per night both without breakfast. If you book a breakfast online at the time of booking your room it is £10 per person per night, space is limited so book early. We will also have an option for bacon butty and coffee/tea on the Saturday morning for a small fee.

If you have questions about the hotels please email duncan@zroadster.org who will respond as soon as possible, we will then also post relevant Questions and Answers if necessary.

We would welcome and encourage anyone travelling in to the event on the Saturday to join us for the cruise in, so please arrive at the hotel in plenty of time (details of times to follow later) so that you can also have a bacon butty and a drink while you converse with other like-minded enthusiasts before the cruise to the track.

For updates and more details please check the BMW Car Club forum here: http://www.bmwccgbforum.co.uk/silver...tml?FID=1&PR=3

Hopefully we'll see you all there!

Interesting start, but went downhill after the first line. I expected to see a CSL Fest being the order of the day to celebrate the 10th Anni, but no!
May sound a bit elitist but I can park up any weekend amongst a stack of 'M' cars at the Trafford Center, why would I want to go to Silverstone to do the same.

PS: Only 'Club Members' can access the forum.:bigcry:

Change the date to 26th May & location to Munich & we'll all be there!

I was tempted to suggest a change of date and venue, but then I tought why bother, it's just a bit of PR on behalf of the BMW Car Club, anyway Estor's ill :supz:

Perhaps you might want to go the Silverstone Classic event and see the classic racing, or perhaps the evening entertainment, or then again the myriad of other car clubs in attendance? But never mind, I am sure they have all of this and more at the Trafford Center :119:

If it was a CSL Fest how many cars do you think you could muster, we had hoped to have a display of CSL's and also have them taking part in the parade lap?

Forum access is fixed for the post above, apologies for that, there's no more info on there yet though.

It's not their event, it's a Silverstone event, the BMW Car Club don't sell any tickets for it, what they are doing is organising something for the BMW Community...

Not as far as I know, why do you want them to? The one at Gaydon each year is brilliant!
