Suspension choice

Hello guys. Firstly i wish you Happy Holidays to you and your families always in good health. Secondly i am in a big dilemma. I'm thinking to change the suspension to my CSL (i'm not in a hurry) and the thing is that i'm between two, Ohlins and Nitron. I am happy and very satisfied with the original but i believe it's time for a change. I have never drove a car with Ohlins neither Nitron so i cannot say how it feels but from other stories that i heard it seems that Ohlins is more 'comfortable' (as comfortable can a suspension like this be) in street use than Nitron. What is your opinion guys? Does anybody drove a car with these kind of suspensions?

Thank you in advance.

Regards

Ohlins have the pedigree !!!!!
Moton
Then others IMO

Nitron whilst being a fantastic product and great awesome quality, seemed to struggle to get the shock/spring/travel/adjustment combo right.

There was a user on here who had Nitron issues, but Nitron stepped in and sorted them out for him. I cant think of his user name.

I much prefered the KW, and others on here have great success with Intrax too.

Good luck in your choice, but my best advice is to speak to various BMW race/track set-up specialists and ask opinion. Make an informed decision.

In a few months I will put Ohlins on mine and will be able to provide feedback.

I got a set of Nitrons for a friend for his e92 m3 they look fantastic but came with the wrong springs on the front not a good start for a £3600 kit

They sorted it and after setting the car up it drives fantastic on track and road :supz:

Firstly i would like to thank you all for your responses and your opinions. As i understand there are multiple options around the coil over that i want to. Alex i'm looking forward for your feedback. Sounds really interesting. I drove a compressor M3 E46 with KW CS and i felt like it wasn't as absolute as much as i wanted.. I will have to wait until i get to Greece, in Thessaloniki to some friends of mine who have 2 different M3 E46s with different suspension set up. One is with Intrax and the other is with D2 but for the second i already know that this coil over is crap.! I'm really anxious because i don't want to make a really wrong choice about the coil over and get trouble again and again. I also want to ask if i have to check the subframe for cracks before the installation.?

How will you use the car (road/track)?

What are you trying to achieve (ride height, speed on tract, reduce tyre wear on track, firmer ride, look cool)?

Whats the budget you have (in £ as we don't understand euros or drachmas)

The car is my garage queen. I have a smart and 1M for daily use. The car has already done 4 dry track days (always dry) and i just need a step above in suspension section. I want to achieve more balance, more hardness and of course ride height.Drachmas doen't exist anymore in Greece. I think they stopped making it back in 2001. By budget is around 4.000 £

Drachmas will soon be back :)

KW Clubsport are a good around choice. Intrax 1k2 (black titan and EDC extra) similar price and works very well but is race build and can need more maintenance. Moton will be too expensive. Not sure about Ohlins although they are always great quality I guess expensive and unknown regarding track use.

Avoid D2 HST etc etc

Sounds interesting. I will search it more shimmy. About drachmas i don't know but i don't think that they will return. That would be catastrophic..and i don't believe that there are people (at least in this forum) that want to happen this. Greeks are people, Germans are people, Austrian are people etc. Policy and governments do not define the relations of people.. Although i will inform my guys .

D2 wasn't my option just mentioned.
