Tires for CSL

Hi, I wrote here some time ago about my sanity for paying €72.000 for a factory new CSL with just 33km and I would be the first owner.

Due to stupid Danish laws where we pay 210% tax on cars (buy one pay for three ... usually the reverse :-( ) it has been very difficult figuring out what the tax is on a 9 year old car, which is factory new.

But a way has been found and I transferred the money yesterday :-)

This leads me to my question: which tires?

On my 997.2 C2S I ran super sports which was the best street tire I have ever had. But I recently upgraded to Cup+ which is a magic tire... In the dry. Although the plus version is actually far better in the wet than I thought.

So for the CSL (I will not do too much track days, that will be the 997) which tire? Super sport or Cup+

I am going to the dealer today and sort the practicalities and take pictures of the car, still covered in the factory plastic wrappings.

If your not going to use it very much I would put full fat cups on it as God intended and not bother with the Cup+.:supz:

I couldn't imagine owning the CSL and not have driven it on Full fat Cups, even on the road the immediate feeling is like the car was built for them.......so I have to say Cups, but Supersports are superb tyres.
