Just thought I would introduce myself on here, currently not a CSL owner but I am currently in the middle of waiting for the right car, low milage grey car and low owners, I'm prepared quite possibly for a long ish wait! I considered getting the CSL after selling the megane R26.R just over a year ago but opted for a FD2 import civic - great car but got a lot of wrong attention, so just over 12 months down the line and I'm back at the CSL again!

If any one has any tips or things I should be looking out for other than the obvious please pass them on!

Michael.

Welcome. I had an R26.R for a few months last year, cracking bits of kit but you wont regret the move to a CSL. I never want to sell mine....

Welcome & Good luck with the hunt. How did you get on with the R26R?

Thanks or the welcome comments, the R26.R was a great easy car to drive but as an everyday car it's no good! The ride was really good it was just the impracticality of the deep bucket seat and 6 point harness! Would have one again as a toy! Running costs are also very reasonable the only real poor link is the brakes!

Welcome

I wanted a CSL as far back as 2002 when initial details came out, but never got round to buying one until now...... that was a mistake! Good luck with your search.

Agreed, I couldnt have lived with mine as a daily. I swapped to solid clio discs, RS29's and better fluid which seemed to do the trick but tbh it really needed a set of AP's. Remap meant it had plenty of GO, saw 172 on the sat nav....in germany.
