Oooh I missed that...

That feels good. After 6 months doing a maximum of 14 Knots, I forgot how good a CSL at 8000rpm sounds and feels..

Tell me about it, 14Kts you're lucky. The quickest we get is 12Kts

In the Royal Navy (for another 6 months anyway). Been away on HMS Brocklesby in the Med. Most of the time spent at 1-3 Knots when minehunting, sprinting at 14 Knots when both main engines working!! A deltic at 1700rpm just before it seizes is something to behold.

What you planning on doing when you come out mate? Take it that's what you mean about the (for another 6 months anyway) comment.

I'm Offshore on the Anchor Handlers, moving and towing rigs, good, interesting work. DuncanR is trying to get into it, see other thread, :hahaha: :hahaha: :hahaha:

Yes, 22 years up in January. Been away for so long over the last 2 years haven't looked that hard yet. Not ready to be at home everynight, so offshore on the rigs, or my daughter quite fancies sending me on the cruise liners.
