they quoted me £1067 for inspection 2 and brake fluid is that right >? whos the guy I should ask for the helpful one ? anyone know of any good deals around essex re servicing..

I've booked in with Louise who was very helpful, I think it Adrian who is the tech.
That sounds a bit steep for 4+ , I think it should be about the £800 mark

Im booked in at Murketts in March for an insp 1,i think the price was £670 with me supplying my own oil.You will have a bit more to do on the insp 2 [air filter,spark plugs,diff oil.]So that price may not be far off.As steve says give Adrian a bell.;)

Am in East London. Nearest dealer (by time) is Sytner, Loughton. I carried on up the M11 to Murketts for last service and will do so in the future. I believe murketts are competitive on price (happy with the last invoice) but more importantly, they "get" CSL's and see probably the most of any UK dealer. That to me is worth a premium.

Went to drop my car at a dealer (not murketts) c.12 months ago - arrived and told the service desk I was there to drop off the CSL.

"the Mercedes garage is next door sir" was the reply.....(CLS)

agreed Ian, although dealers normally price match and I know Northern dealerships are cheaper, thats what Ive found in the past ;)

YOu can definately get it cheaper. I had inspection II and new front pads for under £900. That was Rybrook Warwick.

Chaps, just off the phone to Antony just been informed that mine needs an inspection 1 to bring the warranty in line etc. regardless of the engine change, and additional oil/filter changes it gets. Also im getting a new diff und Power Steering pump under warranty ! plus it needs new handbrake shoes:thumbs:.. so Triggers Broom saga continues ! more good work from the boys of the A team at Murketts, A team being Andy, Ady and Ant. For the record Ant is now the unofficial front of house for service so best to get in touch with him in the first instance on antony.squires@murketts.bmw-net.co.uk or DD on 01480 446135. Try not to confuse him with Adrian too much !

Back on thread, as Yanto alludes to, cheapest isnt always best and I for one am very happy for all that Murketts have done for me in the time I have had the CSL, and I feel that I owe them at least some "invoicable to me" work over and above the warranty work that they do.

you do get more than the average punter Dunc, does Ant have a funny handshake as well ;)
