LUK clutch kits

Am I right in thinking that luk clutch kits are the ones used from the factory on the CSL?

Reason I ask is I've noticed clutch slur a few times on my CSL so think I'm going to have to replace mine.

A guy posted a discount code on cutters today for eurocarparts, there advertising the luk clutch kit for £240.88 but with the discount code (jan20) it brings the price down to £192.70 so a good saving.

If these are good what else would I need to buy to replace it or is this everything?

not sure on your question Shane (although ive had two clutches by BMW)

you prob know that the slur is almost never wear, always just bad adjustment by the actuator. Both my clutches were perfectly good but just got inot a habit oif slipping.

If you get the clutch/gearbox taught again it normally puts it right unless the slipping has gone too far

I've looked up what you've just said in the past mate but when I rang BMW they said it wasn't possible???

It's not that bad but it is starting to get more frequent when giving it some, my cars only done 35k so was quite surprised when It first started slipping.

Maybe another call to BMW then to get it adjusted first, any ideas how much they charge for this?

tbh thats just rubbish mate, they're fobbing you off

if its a warranty claim they ALWAYS send you away after teaching the clutch/gearbox again before they entertain repolacement

try a diff dealer or a good indy up your way:smokin:

Correct the LuK clutch kit is the OEM supplier. But listen to Shimmy, 90% of the time it's not a wear issue.

As for re-teaching the adaptation - find someone with a GT1 .. it takes 5 minutes to reset all 4 adaptations.

Show your service dealer this thread if they are too stupid to know what to do.
