tyres rubbing on wheel arch

hi all,

had a front wheel off today to have a closer look at the ap calipers as have some new pads arriving tomorrow when noticed this wear on the arch liner where the tyre has been rubbing under heavy compression of the suspension. you notice if over some crests/dips on the road or somewhere like the compression at the bottom of the foxhole.

has anyone else had this? is it something to be worried about in terms of tyre wear? does get abit better if suspension stiffened up (ast singleway adj.) would it be a case of just increasing the ride height?

doesn't seem to happen at the rear. car does sit pretty low generally. Running std csl tyres and 10mm spacers all round

thanks in advance

Looks like you are running it too low, even on soft setting it shouldn't have any rubbing issues.
I run ast and 10mm spacers, no issues at all

too low, as you should be running soft on the Ring:thumbs:

Ever thought of going back to OEM for the Ring?

hi shimmy

not had the car that long, got it in july so not really played about with changing it much, its set up as i got it so may take a little time to get it set up how i like it. was out in one at the ring with std suspension which felt great, not much different to mine with settings set to soft. really capable car in std form.

I went right through my inner wheel arch liners at Spa a couple of years ago!! KW Clubsports on. I'm not sure if it was too low or too soft??

I've had the same issues on KW clubsport suspension

highing the ride height just gives you understeer

Replace the rubber bump stops on the shocks for longer ones.
