anyone know this car, i viewed it and test drove today. First time i've driven a csl, couldnt really give it any as dealer needed to rush off. I might be dissappointed though was expecting more. You cant be subjective in a short drive though that doesnt get car upto temp. Need to experience 1 properly, anyone track daying at goodwood that could demonstrate the handling

Thanks for that guys, the dealer is willing to put a 10k max per claim warranty on and complete the service at his dealership or contribute £450 towards a BMW service . No negotiation on price though I think its too much as it has covered 73k. Couldnt fault the car its clean and looked after.

If you don't mind me asking what is the dealer hoping to achieve (price wise) for this 73K miles CSL ?

PM if you want Darren's (owners) details, he has got it up there on a sale or return, and they are adding some £££ to sell, so there is deffo some negotiation if you were dealing with him directly

You can add BMW warranty once service is completed directly with BMW so no issues there... FYI this is the car pre his private plate with original number ;)

can you send me his contact details then cheers

Hmmmm ... £24K is a difficult price but since it's from a dealer it's about right. If this CSL is an absolute corker (which it sounds like it is) clean & tidy like U say and U can live with the 70K + mileage then I'd say GO for it . Before handing the £££ over however, arrange an extended 20 minute drive with the dealer (make sure he doesn't need to rush off again)... if all is still well, l'd ask him to buy U a proper BMW Warranty, as part of the deal and then, IMHO that will be a good deal.
I bought my SG CSL privately in Sep. '09 with 68K miles purely on it superb condition and impeccable F.S.H. and 11 months BMW Warranty  Having turned down 3 lesser, mid 40K miler CSLs. It's been an absolute joy so far (only needed a NEW alternator so far) ... Now @ 71 K miles, with four TD already, under my 8 months ownership. Should be 73 K miles buy the time I'm back from a long Ring weekend in two weeks time including RING TD on the 19th  Can't wait
