Careful that diffuser isn't a genuine item - it's a replica. Here's what to look for in a genuine diffuser: Notice the 'indent' between the bare carbon part and the painted part of the diffuser: http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...ofP1020352.jpg notice the heavy indent where the pop in clips go to secure the diffuser to the bumper: http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...ofP1020353.jpg What the inside should look like: http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...ofP1020355.jpg |
Nice one for pointing that out

Having said that, there are some really good replicas out there: for eg this one (which I have and imported privately) - notice how it's just like the one on pistonheads :hahaha: http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...ser/diff10.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...user/diff3.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...user/diff4.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...user/diff8.jpg Quote:

There are replicas out there that have this indent (i.e. Vorsteiner), but flip it over and you won't see the 2x2 carbon fiber inlay on the genuine thing. The real thing also weighs practically nothing and is very rigid compared to the replica which are quite flexible due to the polyester resin used (ala fiberglassing). |
The copys are good tom but you feel a fool if they list it as the real deal
Thats what would get me  |

I quite like the look of all carbon, they should have done that with the production CSL as it doesn't quite stand out enough painted as standard I reckon!
