passenger door will not open from the outside

My passenger door will not open from the outside:banghead:. The door unlocks ok and the battery is fully charged.

When you pull the handle on the outside the handle comes all the way out, but the door will not open.

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem, had a quick look though old posts but couldn’t see anything, hopefully an easy fix where something has just come loose.

thanks
Tino

Not sure if you have the same prob but i had issue with the drivers handle getting stiff and made getting the driver door open not as fluid as should be, Someone posted on here about a little grub screw located on the inside shut of the door covered by a small black gromit cover (also a handy little video clip to illustrate the process too).
Get an allen key and do this screw up as tight as poss and see if it helps. Worth a try.

The handle is probably no longer attached to the pull mechanism on the lock.

Here is a link to a cheap DIY fix, but if you have warranty on it, then get BMW to sort it.

"This problem occurs when someone pulls too hard on the handle"...

No worries mate, if you fancy it, just take the panel off to inspect but its most likely going to be that.
