CSL front bumper with/out CF?
 

I have unfortunatley had a small prang and smashed the front bumper on my CSL. BMW Bodyshop are saying that I have to buy the carbon fibre flaps with it as the bumper is not sold separately. Has anyone managed to buy just the bumper?

I am sure they are available without, is your bumper repairable?, might be worth talking to anthony or julian at simpson motorsport.

Unfortunately I do not think repair is an option. There are too many cracks and breaks. Slow impact accident but plenty of damage.

I am fairly sure that you can only get the bumper with the splitters in place or just the splitters on its own, not the bare bumper only (as there's no part number for just a bare bumper without splitters).

You can always sell the splitters off for good money.

Post up a picture of your bumper, you'd be surprised how easily repairable it might be - I've seen one broken into 3 pieces brought back to life - it just takes the right person and knowledge to repair these properly (so long as the inner impact bar is fully intact that is.

Yeh, come pre-painted from BMW with the splitters only.

If you do buy a new one ill give you 50quid for each splitter,just to help you out.:whistle::whistle:

I have a bumper you could buy if you don't get sorted at BMW. Bought it from Simpsons , been repaired but I can't tell where ! It is SG and minus the flippers. I'll post pics if needed.

Thank you to all. I have decided to bite the bullet and get a new one - "Maintained with no expense spared". I may put the old or new CF flaps out for sale in due course.

yes.. the splitters comes with the bumper if you buy the bumper new from the dealer. but, a few years ago i came across this bumper. it came with no splitters and no paint. yes.. it was oem :thumbs:
