SMG settings from startup?
 

I have been using the CSL as a daily driver this week (which is unusual for me)...so been playing around with the settings a little.

What SMG settings do you use from cold?

I tend to start off in town, then onto A roads, so have been using A2 initially, then onto A3 and S3 once it warms up and the roads clear a little. Perhaps S4 once the oil is fully up to temp and I'd like to press on a little.

I do find the engine feels like it's labouring a little in A2 (or even A3) around roundabouts, so maybe I'm better in S2 initially so I can change when I like, but in a slow mode.

Any thoughts? Am I being overly mechanically sensitive? ;-)

When I used it daily for my drive to work it was S5 from the word go.

S3 or S4 all the time apart from when I'm really hooning.

Maybe a little...!

I run S3 all the time except for S5/6 for track & hooning ;)

S5 or S6, nothing else ;)

shhhhhhhhhhh, ive not told her how to turn the DSC off yet

and actually i never use S6 as when i take the DSC off i am too scared to look down to change from S5 to S6

I find the automatic modes useless. Only ever use S mode. I generally start off in S2/3 and leave it in S3. S5/6 for more spirited drives and track. But 90% of the time it's DSC off and S3.
