CSL Crash at Silverstone
I was at a track day or test day (can't remember which day!) last week and i understand John Thorne was instructing in a CSL which then crashed after some sort of fluid leak.
Any news on the condition of the occupants? Hope everything is OK... the car look pretty bad and i understand they went to hospital. |
Yeah was a big one:
http://www.thorneymotorsport.co.uk/t..._Crash_015.jpg Was passenger in it at the time, hit a concrete wall at 60 mph, car pretty much destroyed but all re-buildable. Certainly glad we had one of our cages in, saved our lives. Driver was knocked out, I broke all the ribs on one side and was pissing blood for a couple of days, kept in hospital overn ight and now just pump0ed up on painkillers. |
Get well soon John from up the road in Olney, sounds like a lucky escape, albeit with some cracked ribs.

Pleased to hear you are alright, John

John
Get well soon. Aparently Roger was speaking jibberish after he regained consciousness ............so he was lucky he got back to normal so quickly:hahaha: |
Get well soon John. Saw it on PGT last week.
Jamie's race car was a modified M3 rather than a CSL iirc. Shame none the less. |
Sorry to hear about this! Get well soon John.
