It would have to pass safety tests and emissions

So what was the point of him shipping it over if he can't drive it????

There are better track toys out there...

Is there a way he can make it road legal??????

There's no model report for the CSL in the US as it was never introduced there so can't legally be registered.

It's the same with the Audi S3 over there (although you can purchase those in Mexico and drive them in the US if you have mexican residence).

Ive heard of another CSL in the US, and its driven by a girl :supz: Some big car dealers daughter, and as far as Im aware its legit.

Story is that US wanted a few to crash test for safety test and BMW were'nt having that

If it were easy for BMW to homologate it there I'm sure they would have as it is a huge market.

I doubt if the CSL would pass the federal tests regarding stuff like bumpers being fine after a low speed collision. They'd just fall to bits rather than popping back into shape.

Are you sure they cant make it legal, as ive seen people import Skylines to the US and drive them....

Clio V6 in the background too, i presume that is Alonsos.
