New baby transporter

Picked up the new baby transportation the other day finally after 14 week wait.I went for the 335d msport touring in estriol blue and before you guys say wrong forum trust me this thing is a weapon.in real world conditions the csl would have its work cut out. Anyone here experienced the latest 3.0 twin turbo diesel BMWs yet and what do you think ?

We have an X5 40d as our family wagon and its impressively quick for such a heavy beast

Is it x-drive ? I'm thinking of getting the Mrs one, we want to take it skiing but might go Quattro, I don't know much about the x-drive yet but Im hearing they are good.

Yea it's xdrive .havnt really got to exploit the xdrive so can't judge it yet but straight line speed and stability are very impressive. Flooring it from low speed it just grips and goes and it has an 8 speed auto that is pretty special .oh and adaptive lights if you go for one you have to go for adaptive lights bloody witch craft they are.

nice one B

my 535d touring turned up yesterday and a lovely drive, but no way the would keep up with csl or even the m135 in any conditions even with tbe xdrive (mine not got xdrive by the way)

way way more pleasant to drive day to day though and the 8 auto speed box is superb

(but best bit is the electric folding towbar :) )

Might have exaggerated a wee bit but still mighty performance all the same. Didn't go for a tow bar but the electric tailgate I'd never tire of that.

Congrats. New BMW diesels are all the car you need in real world. I am planning to trade in my LCI E90 d for a LCI F30 d this September.

535d is such a good car Shim. My Dad has had them for a while now. I've just changed his for a new one over Christmas. Deeply impressive engine and gearbox. That 8sp is pure genius. He bombs down to his place in S.France and absolutely loves it.
