Warranty Help...

Hi guys,

Just after any advice going in terms of an extended warranty on the CSL…Mondial won’t touch me because of a previous remap on the engine.

Do any of you guys recommend any third party policies or should I just steer clear and go it my own and put some aside for a rainy day? Or even consider going back to standard and see if Mondial will accept that? Although I wouldn’t imagine they would.

Ta

I guess once the ad has been found to have a remap, your BMW Mondial options are closed

Personally I wouldn't bother the another, just save the money

+1 on the Shimnster

Save a monthly amount equal to the warranty for rainy days

+ 1 on shimmy. warranty ran out on my one start of nov with an Indy firm which previous owner and garage had put on it.

it was there gold star plus package but it only covered a few things and was not great tbh

plus my car is over 100k miles so warranty cost would be huge.

have put 1k in the bank to be safe and will do so every year. keep it for 5 years, nothing goes wrong then 5k in the bank if you sell it.

it will only do 1500 miles a year so I will take my chances. oil change every year, regular checks at a good bmw indy up the road.

Cheers fellas. After looking into the alternatives, I agree on keeping the money. All I have to do now is not spend it. :-D
