My 15th M3, and First CSL

After 10 Years of Dreaming, I finally got myself into a CSL. Its just snuggled into the 100K Club not that you'd know being a credit to its last owners , This suits me fine, as I'm using it most days at the moment.

Having a nice weekend I was able to give it a good clean, and get out my Dodo Juice and go to work on it.

Now I know the SG seems to be the CSL standard, but I do love the shine you can get from the Black.

Good to see you have gone for the better colour. So how does it compare with your old M3s? No difference according to those in the know unless you run cups

Its a good feeling when you pick a CSL up, ENJOY, not so good when you sell , what sort of money does a 100tho CSL command now days

Well at the moment, the car has some budget tyres, so its a bit unsettled if you hoof it.

The car feels more nimble, its how the E46 should have been built, as from the E36 to the E46 I found the E46 to be almost a grand tourer as its felt a lot bigger, and heavier, whereas the CSL feels much more nimble and you find yourself looking for the corners to tread the car through.

I guess with better tyres the car would be even better, but have to remember its suspension is not new, so of course there is some wear there, but the cars stiffness is noticeable, but my old M3 had the 19 inch wheels too, which add a lot of the stiffness IMO.

Though must say I'm fresh out of a Z4M Coupe, and the CSL is a limo in comparison, even the wife hasn't complained !!

Me too, the Black ones didn't quite look right, though appreciate everyone has their one taste, I tend to run towards the standard look.

Though my wife did kick off at me as she likes the black look, she will kill me then next year when I get the wheels back to silver too!

Considerably more than the £15K budget I set myself, and its not stopped yet, as I want to get the vents sorted, the rear diffuser, then the Alloys back to Silver and then treat the car to a set of decent tyres.

When the car is done I reckon it will stand me closer to £21K based on what I have spent so far, and the cost of the changes I plan on doing.

Even though the car has a had a fair few owners, its got good history, had the floor, and is straight, and has been well looked after :)
