Exhaust seems a bit 'raspy' when cold
Standard exhaust - seems to be noisier of late. Only happens when cold. When warm it turns into its former self...
I would describe the noise as a bit more rasp (this is at low revs, just pulling away from home) and I suppose a bit of rattle. Will be booking a trip to Elms post Donnington so will get Gareth to look at it, but if you have any suggestions. Thanks |
i have exactly the same issue! i would describe it as a little rattly too?
anyone know why? its weird as once warm it completely goes away! |
They all do it. Probably a bit of over fuelling when cold and I think I read somewhere that there is ERG type of system used when the engine is cold?? The primate will soon chip in.

^ they all do it

Ok for some reason I always thought it was thinner exhaust! But they all do it I think.

Suffering from Hey Fever with the high pollen count! :hahaha:

You should hear what it sounds like with the Supersprint "Race" back-box - it sounds REALLY basey from cold - so much so that it rattles our house windows (so my other half says) and hurts my ears inside the car until it has warmed up :119:.

Yep the SS race system is louder again, but loved mine, cold, warm, hot !
Best exhaust by a mile on a CSL |

I have the SS racebox aswell and the sound when its dead cold is amazing! it rattles, splurges and pops especially in first and second gear when letting off the throttle.
