Stuck Wheel !
Intended on switching to spare rims / PS2's for the winter today and spent about a fookin hour tring to free the wheel up (yes....I did take the nuts out fookers)...
Its the front one I had recently painted which may have something to do with it.... Put the might of my bulk (no jokes) behind it and the fooker wont budge....next step is a sledgehammer.... Any advice from the site Sages ?? Cups for another few days and off to Elite on Thurs if no sensible answers :hahaha: Whilst on the subject.....while tyres have been off the car (6 months), one of them has lost c. 5-6 psi (now 24)...normal or v.slow puncture ? |
Task it out for a spirited run and get it warm (make sure nuts tightened first) and then try to remove whilst still hot
As for psi, probably a slow puncture or loosing ari between tyre and rim if not mounted properly, or valve leaking. I'm in a bit this week if you need some help getting wheel off.....I have a big sledge hammer :) |
Make sure jack is very secure - rubber mallet on in side of wheel rim, rotate 90 degrees and same again, repeat with increasing levels of violence until off.

Thx Guys. Shim, if you're about on Thursday, may stop by for a morning cuppa ?
In fact, per previous offer, I may leave the spare rime at yours mate save the agg from missus as they sit in the corner of the front room :hahaha::thumbs: |

We use rubber mallet, on the back of rim not the front, and hit the rim not the tyre, as the tyre will just absorb the impact. :clown:
