Damaged CSL

KK? You think you can refurb this Bumper?

That car as whole doesn't look too heavily hit, someone will get a cheap CSL. I'll be keeping an eye on it for sure. Bloody shame though. :bigcry:

Damaged CSL

Strange how the Driver side Airbag has gone Off yet the primary damage is on the front passenger side where the Airbag is in tact :smt017
I hate seeing them like this :crybaby:

Drr....... may be because at the time of the accident there wasn't a passenger in . :banghead: lol

That why the front passenger seat are fitted with occupancy pad.

sailorbaz 28-04-2011 09:15 PM

CF front Grills and Supersprint, so must have been some kind of enthusiast of sorts... surprised we don't know this car.

Just goes to show we've a wee bit to go yet before finding most of the CSL's!

s.mac 28-04-2011 09:21 PM

is the back end on stilts

Of course I will buy ya a beer mate ! I need to decoide first what the fook I'm going to do with it ! What cat is it if any ? It doesn't say

s.mac 28-04-2011 10:19 PM

just looks high on that shot Matt
I think Dunc is right
bonnet wing and bumper, it doesnt look that bad, shame the air bag went off. I think its close to the money now, 27k is just the market price for the car when its right, 12k to 13k max i would hazard a guess at

DuncanR 28-04-2011 10:26 PM

When does the airbag deploy, and what is the criteria.?
One handed fookers exiting Ex-muhle need not reply !!!

+ inner wing, maybe front slam panel, near side lower suspension arm, probably replacement front shocks, top mounts and replacement front wheel too, near side Xenon headlight, possibly control unit for it too and lots of other bits & bobs + it'll need to be jigged to check the front near side chassis leg is straight

money is right Matt for what is needed :)
probably a cheap car if you were to strip, sell the bits and then turn it into to a track car ;)

Shimmy - is it VN53 YGE ?

sailorbaz 28-04-2011 11:03 PM

The plot thickens...

How come it says it's unrecorded? Could make strong money if it isn't on the 'other' register (Cause we all know THIS is the Official register of course), that was my line of thought.

Wonder what the story is with the rear axle/wheels/suspension.

Look forward to that beer Duncan, just need to get my stupid ar5e to Germany!

Rutkowski 30-04-2011 08:49 AM

Unless someone wants to buy it and keep the car... no point buying just to fix & sell IMHO.

Front bumper alone is £3500

Unless you have one!

If its panel only and air box and engine is ok you could make some money ESP if its not recorded cat c/d

Depends on shell, air box and engine really

Thats why I would never bid blind on something like this, always view and thoroughly inspect first.

If it's not recorded this could make someone a few quid

Fit a replica bumper, cheap and easy, if done well hard to tell too.

Agreed, it would be silly to think with a few parts it could be fixed cheaply. What you've got to think is that Shane sold his cat D CSL with 30k on it recently for £19,999 (well that's what he advertised it for). This has got double the miles, so you'd have to get it pretty cheaply to make good money on it.

shimmy 30-04-2011 04:02 PM

Difference is this may not be recorded cat c/d which would make a big difference.

Prices all fixed could vary from £16-22k so it could be a nicer earner or money pit depending on the damage beneath.

I'm no expert but can't be worth anymore than £11k - prob better to strip and sell the parts

Air box £3k
Engine and loom £3k
Seats £2k
Rims £500
Interior £3k
£11.5 already with some easy labour.

sailorbaz 30-04-2011 04:31 PM

Not to mention:

Bootlid £500
Rear LED's £200
Exhaust £500-£1200 (depending on Supersprint parts)
Diff £200-300?
Survived suspension and brake parts? £500
CF roof? £500
That's not counting the glass, doors and other panels.

There's another £3K! Would be a waste to break an unregistered car though.

This was the P1 car i should know i owned it for a year it had been bumped before but unrecorded it has had a OSR Quarter as well :hahaha::hahaha:

I paid 21k had it a year then sold it for 28k the boy i sold it too done the ring and spa in it quite a few times then traded it in for a GT3.

Just some history on the car

sailorbaz 30-04-2011 09:47 PM

Jawsus, this cars had an unfortunate life. Good to get a bit of history about it though.

What side 1/4 panel had it had Mark?

paulmensley 01-05-2011 08:14 PM

Csl

Pretty damn sure this was my car!
Still owed 9k from the payout.:banghead:
The airbox is broken.

sailorbaz 01-05-2011 08:31 PM

£9K??? Surely this wasn't what they offered you??? Or, is this the balance?

Judging by the photos in your other thread, this is 99% your car. What's the story with the rear axle? Judging by the impact, I wouldn't assume anything would be wrong with the rear end, diff etc, I suppose it could be when it's been lifted and put back down by a fork lift truck, the wheels haven't turned and therefore haven't had a chance to sit right. Think of when you jack your car up and lower it back onto it's wheels, you need to take the Handbrake off and roll it a bit until it sits right. That could put people off and keep the bidding down... ;-)

What happened mate, if you don't mind us asking. This world of CSL ownership is getting smaller every day.

Sorry, just read your other threads. I remember you posting before about the dodgy overtaking manoeuvre right enough.
