What do I do first...

In a dilemma, just been given a nice bonus at work so I can buy myself a couple of toys for my baby:thumbs:

So..having spent £000's on my old M3, I don't want to go mental this time round, so it has to be a few choice mods...

What would you guys go for first:

1/ BBK - AP / Alcon etc
2/ Coilovers - Nitron / Moton / Possibly KWv3's
3/ Full exhaust, race cats, x-pipe, rear box.

Ironically i've just been offered a 3 month old Dixis Titanium Spirit exhaust, which I had on my old E46 M3, sounded amazing, problem is its not track friendly, however the noise

Dilemma's I want it all, but realistically can't afford to go mental at the mo, so it's one of the options...

What do you guys reckon...help me out having a blonde decision moment this morning LOL

I'm due to pick my CSL up next month, and the first thing I'll be looking to do is a brake upgrade - preferably AP's all round ;)

I plan to do some track work though, so it's essential really

If you've brought it for mincing though, by all means go for the badboy exhaust :hahaha::gayfight:

Give me a shout if you dont want the Dixis. I've got a Supersprint backbox if you want to go that direction.

Think you proved with better pads lines and fluid your m3 brakes were fine standard discs are cheaper too and dont crack.

Well I thought they were, until I found on later inspection the pads had disintegrated! :hahaha:

We shall see, maybe just buy more polish instead :gayfight:

I would like to hear more about this decision if I'm being honest.

The Dixis might have seemed ok on a Normal M3 with all the sound proofing and fat electric leather seats but maybe on the CSL it might not be so bearable. I had the unsilenced SS and a GruppeM on mine...briefly.

That is a very fair point, I was thinking about it last night, maybe the Dixis might well be too much but I still think its worth a go, if I can get it at at a good price i'll buy it try it and if I don't like it, i'll make some money on it

funtime 16-02-2011 08:34 AM

To be honest though the Dixxis is quieter than the Gruppe M and some people on here have the Gruppe M fitted and love it...CSLgirl for one...

Spot on the Dixis is quieter / far less harsh than a Gruppe M, the tone is more refined, I hated the Gruppe M I tried on my old car, it lasted about 3 days before I sold it...wheras my old Dixis was on for a couple of years

I think i'll buy this Dixis if the condition / price is right, if its too much on the CSL i'll sell it, it's one of those exhausts that never loses it's value, and is always sellable, so its worth a punt.

funtime 16-02-2011 09:18 AM

Good luck

Put some videos up when it's fitted :)

Didn't know about the letter for CSLgirl :supz: but I have definatly seen a few other's with a gruppe M in their signiture spec's..

I'm not making out it's popular - just that some run them and like them ;)
