Selling your CSL...

In reference to recent events...

Selling your CSL makes you a slack jawed faggot

Keeping it makes you a sexual Tyrannosaurus

As someone once said... better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all. That is all

From my side, has been a thrill to own a CSL over this past year, something at one time I didn't think I'd be able to do, but for the time being at least, needs must. The community (and possibly residuals) will no doubt keep healthy and strong with the CSLRegister to keep it going.

Don't go changing

LOL :hahaha:

They'll all regret it next year once all the ring trips are organised and the board is awash with track talk ;)

You'll all be back :clown:

Daz - I seriously think its one of the few newer breed of cars that gets increasingly cooler with age........as per Steve's (Azrael) post a few weeks back on PGT, I really do think they are gaining popularity/celebrity with those in the know - even in the last 18m, I get more and more questions about it at car parks, petrol stations etc..massively overlooked when new because they were an "expensive M3 without the toys".....

http://www.puregt.com/Forum/upload/s...=csl+celebrity

Now becoming increasingly rarer with some write-offs and others tucked away in private collections just as people are starting to realise the gem that they are....

amen...

Yep. Also, with rags like Evo giving the CSL more and better press than ever (good mention in the latest issue.............again) that will only add to the new classic status.

Sounds like your Alternator is on it's way out :(
Get it checked  with all your lights, heather, etc ON to see what voltege it's producing, under full load.
If you have a voltmeter it's easy enough to do it yourself

Something about the GTS only 2 secs faster at Ring and that a well set up CSL on AP's would be quicker, etc.;)

Fair enough  but I'd still get it checked as something isn't right Steve :smt017
CSL are too modern to be loosing charge overnight like my old MK2 Golf GTi :banghead: (ever time the temperatures drop below 0 deg C ) especially since you use your CSL ever day :smt102

Yeah I will be getting it checked as a matter or course, cheers Matt

I have a long journey at the beginning and end of the week and shorter journeys inbetween, I'm thinking that and the cold weather may have done it. Plus a month or so ago I left the lights on whilst test driving a car. Battery flat when I went to leave doh!

AlexGTT 09-12-2010 11:52 AM

Lots of short journeys won't do it any favours Steve. Take the longer route home in the evenings.

Bingo ! ;):hahaha: That accidental battery discharge would have been enough to cause your current problems.
Have you had the battery fully recharged since then ? ... if not, it may not be holding a full charge.
Get the battery fully (and by that I mean professionally) tested as that is most likely to be the culprit

She's back up and running now

Its only been charged by driving since it went flat the first time. I think this cold weather which in turn means demisters/heaters on top of short journeys hasn't helped. Need to get it a proper charge at some point. Silverstone should do it :clown::thumbs:
