How the fook do you get them of without snapping please :smt055

And the bottom carbon flipperrooneys, how do they come off, tools needed.. so I dont bugger them :smt055

Thank you in advance http://forum.thescubasite.com/love/love0072.gif

you can just pull them off with your fingers. in the picture you can make out where the clips are (metal bits, sticking out).

if you need to use a flat screwdriver to lift the edge away make sure the end is covered with a tea towel or something equivalent so you dont mark the trim.

i'm sure someone will give you a more comprehensive guide, if you need it

Daz, I got a set of plastic trim removal tools for just that, if you want me to check in the garage to confirm I still have them then you are welcome to pop round and borrow them. You start from the passenger door side and work your way along.

Im Cheating ... so using the standard trims and wrapping them in carbon fibre vinyl like the mirrors and side vents on the car currently.. will see what they look like sat eve and post up pics

If anyone wants a solution might be able to do a deal with the bigdog and sort..

_Nathan_ 22-04-2010 09:23 PM

Just been out to check, found 4 pieces, no idea how many came in the set :)

Basically a bunch of plastic crowbars with different shapes to allow you to lever stuff out without scratching things.

Not WFH myself tomorrow but could take them to work if you wanted to collect in the day? I only work in Thames Valley Park so easy enough for you.

Will see how long they take this arvo, and get him to post up and PM you lot later

The vinyl he has is not the same as the roof, it actually looks better TBH, and has a texture to it like carbon, tempted to do the roof, but no fookin point :hahaha:

So dont think there is a vinyl that is a rep of the roof... can do any colour etc .. just deciding on a matt grey full wrap at the mo aka this colour

Daz your mates work is good

Is your rear splitter fully carbon?

shimmy 25-04-2010 02:38 PM

ive been trying to avoid reading this thread as i know what would happen so here goes

taking a car that was made to show case light CF additions over the standard M3, we (well Daz) now wants to buy cheap sticky back plastic and pretend more of his car is CF - even though it is not.

now if you have an M3 and cant afford CF bits i can see this being attractive BUT why on earth if you have CF bumper. splitters, door panels, roof would you want to go out and stick plastic over the dash:smokin:

discuss!

I have to agree with Shimmy.
Shame to put on the CSL splitters carbon fiber STICKER.
No comment as well about the interior bits.

You could consider covering the roof as well.... for protection :banghead:
