New Brakes

having tried the csl on track i thought that the only thing letting it down was the standard brakes, so since it was needing new disk's anyway i thought i would upgrade, so i got these 380mm 6 pot Hi Spec's, what an improvment, it should have come from the factory with these.

The look beter than the AP's i think Gaz also much bigger
The discs are performance friction are they not ???

Can i ask what made you chose them over the AP brakes that every one seems to recomend? I am currently looking at upgrading my brakes and seem to be being herded to the ap set up.

Ihave tried a/p's before & they are great brakes,but for the a/p csl kit the disk's are smaller, the disk's are also bad for cracking & at about 2-300 pound more for a kit no thank's

the rear brakes are also upgraded now,4 pot hispecs on new standard disk's.this make's a huge difference,can brake much later now & car feels more planted on the road under braking

yes they use the same pad's as a/p's, aston martins,tvr's ect so no problem getting pad's

Looking good Gaz - glad you havent had the problems that myself and others have had with Hi-Spec.

just looked at the post again plus the other post in the technical area
i see these kits use performance friction discs now perhaps thats solved the issues you had with there own discs
