Bravo73 28-10-2008 05:14 PM

Does anyone have any idea where abouts in the world that car is?

The car itself is obviously RHD (unless the image has been flipped).

Andyk 28-10-2008 05:36 PM

Wouldn't you be gutted if it was the one you are driving now..... :bigcry: .....

0-60Motorsports 28-10-2008 05:38 PM

HELL YEAH! Man if i had a CSL i would keep it for track day once a month on the BAHRAIN F1 Circuit as the traffic is bad here right now :)

Would use my M3 Coupe as a DD :)

Was it a write-off then...? :smt043

whopwop 29-10-2008 01:43 PM

Ah no, it pollished out !!!.
I was simply going too bloody fast across a wet country road, the ass stepped out, i corrected it, came over a crest and it went airbourne, sideways........and all went quiet. - i was doing SOME miles per hour.!
I braced myself for impact, opened my eyes and ''taadaa''.
Got a fractured scabula (large shoulder bone).
My mum ( being a good irish catholic girl ), stated that Our Lord must have been in the car with me that night........, to which I replied. ......
''well i hope to fu#k he was not in the passenger seat'', cause he wont forgive me for that.

cslbecks 29-10-2008 01:50 PM

LOL - you'll go to hell for saying that to be sure, to be sure!!!

whopwop 30-10-2008 02:18 PM

Sorry Bravo 73,The entire car was shipped to some madman in Denmark or Norway, cant remenber which.
I believe he was going to use engine /gearbox etc to make some sort of a track day weapon., I was sooooo gutted at the time, the bloody thing was mint with 8K on the clock. plus I had only had the car for 36 hours.
Ah well, I went off back to the UK and bought choise number two which is the car THAT I currently have.

How much did you get for it when you sold it in that condition?

whopwop 30-10-2008 08:31 PM

Alot more that the insurance company were giving me for scrap value.
I'd rather not say exactly how much, but i actually made money on the entire transaction between what the insurance company coughed up and what I sold the wreckage for......thank god for fully comp policys

windy 31-10-2008 01:25 AM

36 hours?!!! Bet the ins co thought you were taking the pi$$ when you rang them so soon! :119:

Andyk 31-10-2008 06:51 AM

Only 9 CSLs? You wouldn't happen to drive the Swedish CSL with half-cage that i've seen at the Ring a couple of times recently? :-D

Yep ... and I believe BMW NZ sued him to recover the cost of the vehicle ... apparently it was a booty call (hence the reason he took the car out without authority) -

Andyk 06-11-2008 06:09 AM

Hope she was worth it then :smt057
