CSL Disclaimer stickers in Windscreen?

It it worth keeping these in the tops of the windscreen for any reason, as I cant stand a busy screen!
Do all CSL come with them out the factory? No warranty/ aftersale issues if removed?

They are Michelin Cup Warnings/ Run in & general:

NZ_M3 07-05-2009 06:00 AM

You can buy those labels ... they have part numbers on them usually - and no they are not rare:

Running-in instruction - part no. 71212122135
Cup tyres - part no. 71242282428 (I believe this is for both labels)

M3_CSL 07-05-2009 07:20 AM

I couldn't find them... but yes... Mark... If I can get them, that will be great.... please put 1 set aside for me...

Well... I am bored, need to find something to keep me busy (looking)... and collecting CSL related items helps....

Airbag 2122334
run in instructions 2122135
Cup warning 92 15 1 000 204
I dont have the little round cup sticker part number at hand

The air bag 1 goes on the passangers side top and the others go drivers side top

englebert 07-05-2009 04:34 PM

Thanks guys.. going to get some, as geeky as it is!

My mate has an old Mk1 Golf and makes a bit of money on the side producing similar OEM stickers for the VW community!

SpineOnABap 08-05-2009 06:04 AM

The idiot BMW MOT tester removed all mine during last years test! Made it a fail point believe it or not :banghead:
The same idiot who did nothing with them the year before.
Stopped using BMW idiots for MOT now as they seem to make up their own rules as they go along.

M3CSLIRL 08-05-2009 09:15 PM

Thanking You ill see if i can order up some of them!!
If not over here you might pick some up for me?

I have stickers on the screen but I also have this with mine. It tells you about the cup tyres. Anyone else got one?

CSLjimmy 11-05-2009 12:17 AM

I used to have these stickers on my CSL's screen, did think about removing them but liked to keep it all original as from the factory, also gave me something to read in traffic jams.......

Radders 12-05-2009 10:07 AM

mine has them  :blalalala: :birdman:

made my day knowing this and i think we could categorise any csl without them as being inferior... :hahaha:

Bealo 12-05-2009 11:03 AM

Mine had all these but a bloody stone cracked my windscreen. nevermind i'm sure i'll live without them lol...

I wil live secure in the fact that without these stickers my CSL is 3 grams lighter

and then I can justify a small sub to put some sound depth into the appalling CSL audio system :)

Can you check the back of that for a part number?

glendog74 12-05-2009 05:31 PM

M3_CSL 21-05-2009 11:26 PM

Hi gents,

the part number doesn't seem to make sense to those BMW part department people downunder though...

92 15 1 000 204 = LHD lock nuts???

71 24 2 228 2428 = Anti-Theft System warning sticker...

Please help again :)

cheers,

richie

Chaps,

I managed to get a set of these from BMW only last week. A mate of mine works for BMW and ordered them from Germany. I believe there are still several stickers still lurking around.

Ade 19-06-2009 06:52 PM

Ordered and picked mine up through BMW Berry about 3 weeks ago. Still on their system!

bryce 19-06-2009 06:57 PM

Ive still got the originals on.

Apparently the CSL ones are made from cling-film to save that little extra over the M3/M5 ones...
