Rubber like paint on our seat backs - anyone know what it is?
 

Any one know what that paint is on the back of our seats?? Or where you can get it from??

Good question. Discovered mine has a scratch on it. Previous owner must have had something in the back seats. :banghead:

Any idea on cost Baz? There's no price of RealOEM, but its described as 'Racing Bucket seat' - sounds expensive :(

Finding out what its actually made of would be better!

I have seem a post some where before where somebody identified the exact source of that paint - but I can no longer find the post (can't remember which forum I saw it on either :banghead::banghead:)

I might email Recaro and see if they'll give it to me ...

Just thought it might be handy for those who might later on want to refurbish their seats - mine are perfect at the moment.

I can also tell you that those seat bases aren't cheap to obtain - so that would be out of the question for a lot of folks - they are ridiculously priced like all CSL exclusive parts.

Any word from Recaro?

I've gotten an email back from a recaro reseller that I deal with - he said he's emailed a person he knows in the productions department at Recaro and "hopes" to hear back from them - he told me not to hold my breath though.

Will let you all know the moment I hear back.
