Pilgrimage once again to Darrens' cheeky DN events

Not this year I'm afraid mate.
Destroyed the engine at DN20 last year and looking to do a race at Spa this year so the coppers are destined to fund those two.

What happened?

Looking like it is the Map Mike.
Long story short,
Did the sighting laps on day 1, 1st fast lap and noticed really high oil temps.
Lots of investigation and found +/- 2L of fuel in the oil.
Put it into Sorg Rennsport who worked on it late into the night checking all the possible suspects, FPR, Injectors etc etc but all seemed good.
Their view is the maps bad and given their busines I'm inclined to go with them.

Looking like I have either cracked a ring with the heat or washed the bore. Either way it's involving a strip and rebuild due to compression readings.

DN 21 was a rather wet affair sadly.

managed some wet laps.

VLN qualification race was fab to watch.(dry day before DN21!!)

2 CSL's made it out of 170 plus cars.

Shame that Ben,
I was getting regular updates throughout the event and it sounded a bit manic at points.
There is always the next time :smokin:
