M2 limited to 450-500 cars
 

The recent comments in EVO suggest the M2 will be very limited in numbers anyone thinking of getting one ?

So many conflicting information - suggest limited supply and generate greater than normal demand, then increase supply. A leaf out of the Porsche book of marketing.


The question is - will there be a premium on these cars?

I think they will be like the 1M depreciate at first then level out and hold that level.

Tempted. I'm on the list for an M2 CSL, but still no news even if they'll release one.

Was contacted by my local stealer yesterday asking if I was interested in the M2, but I'd be selling the CSL for the purchase so dont fancy effectively swapping for the M2, if a new CSL variant does get released in 6 months.

Hard choice.

Do like the look of the M2, but would scream if I missed out on the CSL.

I have one on order the email from bmw UK to me said
There will be 1,900 M2s produced over the life cycle in the uk

I can't see any new CSL being equivalent to the E46 variant. It will never be as raw.

I'm guessing Bmw will limited the numbers so it doesn't affect m3/4 sales. But unlike the 1m witch was a limited run of 450 (probably due to the fact Bmw had the 2 series coupe in the pipeline) we can always look forward to the second gen 2 series and so on.

I have one on order. Having a chat about spec, etc. tomorrow.

Spec mostly done today. Going light on options, no electric seats, etc. Probably manual but not entirely sure yet. Needs to do everyday duties, so DCT would be better really. Blue paint. No options on interior, so black with blue stitching and carbon trim.
