Rchamps81 21-09-2015 11:35 AM

Just had a response to the advert, they want £60k for it.

Surely that adds another few grand to yours, matt?? ... :hahaha:

Can't seem to access the instagram link posted...is it on a dealer website / can someone try to re-post?

cheers

Rchamps81 21-09-2015 03:59 PM

The advert is literally a couple of pics, with no details or prices. If you want, you can contact the dealer on abroomhead@royles-jaguar.co.uk

Good luck, it was a bit out of my price range but might be what you're looking for.

At this rate, csl ownership will be long periods of carcoon storage followed by studying the future value prior to sale....only for the process to be repeated by the next owner.

Shite. :banghead:

Rchamps81 22-09-2015 07:56 AM

Great if you're selling, but a pain in the arse if you're trying to buy one to actually drive!!

Still haven't fixed the poor repair :hahaha:

nw99 02-10-2015 09:52 PM

Scary that someone can keep trying to up the price despite the car not being perfect

I went to go see this car when it was over at Graypaul; noticed the front spoiler hadn't been resprayed particularly well, but what is the bad repair you are referring to LHutchin?

There was lots of respray not done well and poorly aligned panels

Rchamps81 15-10-2015 04:12 PM

Does anyone know whether this was the black one on autotrader a few weeks ago?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...--2004/4735075

Seems a good price.

Matt21 15-10-2015 05:12 PM

That's jumped in price!

Rchamps81 15-10-2015 05:27 PM

Ha! Just called them, it was up for 39k, now they want more!

Can't believe how difficult it is to buy one of these cars...

nw99 15-10-2015 05:44 PM

Same one as you say jumping in price but didn't sell before so wonder why

Has that 39k one on PH sold? That seems very cheap now.

Think £45k with 70k on the clock is a little ambitious

Agreed.

It's getting to a stage where I'm going to draw a line under it and shell out the extra for a GT3 or F430. Too many speculators forcing supply for those who just want a fun daily car...

How is that any different to what's happened the GT3? The respective values of CSLs & GT3s are inextricably linked, so there's never going to be too big a gap between them

If you just want a fun daily, there are plenty of other cars out there which aren't as rare or in demand as the CSL

Because gt3's have bottomed out and people know what they're going to pay if they want to get one. CSL market seems to really have accelerated over the last months to the extent that peoplea dvertise cars, you then call them willing to pay what the car is listed for, only to find out the car is gone up £5k and five people are interested in a bidding war...

If you want a GT3 you rock up with the cash and buy one. CSLs seem to be much more work.

If you want a fun daily car then don't buy a CSL, GT3 or F430.

But that wasn't the point you made and what prompted my reply. The issue you had was with a 70k mile car costing £45k, whereas for a bit more you could buy a GT3. All you have proven with your reply is that there is huge demand for CSLs

If you're getting the run-around from sellers then that's a different matter, and I would agree that it would be annoying

Ok, maybe a 430 is a stretch for a daily. GT3 and CSL would be ideal dailies for me (we have a 320d for family runs). But then again, I used to commute on a BMW S1000RR so practicality isn't a big thing for me! Like to experience these cars as much as possible, which means daily driving to me.
