Guess what i wanted most?

Popped into Barons in Farnborough today as I had 15 mins to kill waiting for a meeting nearby. Some nice cars there but as i am looking for a daily motor such as 5 series tourer, guess what my fav car was of ASLL the cars there including;

i3
3Gt
430d
435
520 tourer
535 tourer
730d
X3M diesel thingy
M5
M4 convertible
640d GC
5GT

Nearest thing to one of those electric seats the old folk use to run people over with.

MCSL 18-11-2014 08:29 PM

you'd look a proper bum-fiddler in an i3! My vote goes to M5 :smokin:

Trawler 18-11-2014 08:32 PM

Popped into Elms Stansted & really liked the M4 in Silverstone, or whatever the colour is called. Nicest colour I have seen so far.

Closely followed by a Mini GP. The M5s left me cold

The GP looks great. Supposed to be a cracking car too. The M5 in Monte Carlo Blue i think looks good. Any other colour in the M5 and it looks a bit too regular 520d m-sport thingy

s.mac 18-11-2014 08:46 PM

A big old mans car 730d

The M4 is fast becoming my favourite(New Style) M. Moonstone is a top colour closely followed with Mineral Grey.

Not a single Moonstone for sale at the mo...

Austin Yellow coupes for sale all across the UK.

After seeing Matts Web cam image of the ring, we all know where these came from!!

640dgc with a 60% dizzy ?

shawn 968cs 18-11-2014 09:53 PM

If its a daily
3gt
more room in back than a 5
Lighter, quicker than a 5
cheaper than a 5
Can get 3.5d x drive so good in all weather, sub 5 secs to 60
Bit of a Q car
PS
if you have kids and need isofix, check your seats fit!! Mine did't in the F80 M3, must have been design by a Muppet.

Ta but no need for car seats any longer 😃

Have looked at one before and better than 5GT which is fuckugly, but I'm not sure it's for me

Keep guessing

s.mac 18-11-2014 09:58 PM

Someone needs to buy a new M3 and take it on track as standard as I think the bar has been raised.

15 seconds quicker than the last M3, which is probably 20 seconds round the ring, then stick it on cups and this is one quick car.

And no having to wait for camshafts.

If the price of Cesil keeps rising someone will be able to do a straight swap.

Exactly, as much as I loved and miss my CSL, I do not miss that element or worry about replacement parts anymore.

billyboysm3 20-11-2014 08:44 AM

Well Ive had enough of waiting, just been looking at some pork on autotrader!!!!!

Elms really need to let me take one around Bedford :)

Daz that AMG keeps winking at me everyday but your comment did worry me, you said you use it to take your son to nursery everyday, do you run out of fuel to pick him up?

Lol Pork is a good shout, loved my GT3 but wish I had it as a second car, and also not sold it as it's now worth £20k more than what I sold it for :banghead:

Lol my little Lady is nearly 3, and she started going to nursery in stu's turbo, then my GT3 and now the C63 so not bad way to be transported !

Seriously it's ok fuel, no worse than the CSL which was on a stage 2 map, race cats and SS race box.

It's 16/19 around town short trips, 24/28 long hauls.

Effortless rumbling & subtly aggressive all rounder, and amazing value now 2/3/4 years old.

My son's been thinking that - he would use the new M3 a lot more, the CSL is in storage.

If they don't start making parts to keep them running the prices will be getting hit, who in there right mind is going £30+k on a car just to sit in a garage waiting for parts ,oh and not forgetting BMW customer service :banghead:
