Another new to CSL ownership member!

Hi Everyone,

Been lurking on here for a few months - now that I own a CSL, thought I'd better do a thread introducing myself.

I bought Titan's car after viewing it last week - I've owned it a few days now and I'm really happy with it... the induction noise is immense!

Mike R helped me view the car and offered very useful advice.

I believe CSLBrian owned my car before Lee (Titan)

Here's a few pictures I took earlier today:

As well as the CSL I also own a LHD 968 CS in purple (rare option) which I've owned for nearly 10 years and a shonky old diesel Golf for work.

I won't bore you with a picture of a diesel Golf

Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking the CSL on a few road trips across Europe and the UK. There's little I want to change about the car at the moment, though I might swap the Michelin Cup tyres for Super Sports, before driving it across the Alps!

I'll see how the standard brakes cope before considering upgrading them, and after being in Mike R's CSL, the standard CSL suspension fitted to mine seems harsh compared to the H&R coilovers fitted to his CSL.

Don't want to go too far down the modding route though ;)

Cheers,

Marv

Welcome Marv

I see you've bought the faster colour;)

Modding takes a little time to take hold.

Hi Marv & Welcome
Both cars look great
Which part of the Country are you?

Alx 20-04-2014 08:26 AM

Welcome Marv :-)

Thanks for the welcome

:hahaha: @the comments on Mike's suspension. I think the H&R coilovers are actually superior to the standard set up. It's not that they're soft, but they have superior damping.

Welcome to the fold Marv  Good to see another Cecil in East Anglia
The 968 looks good in Amethyst :smokin: I've had two 968's but found 240 BHP / 3 liter 4 pot a bit characterless and not punchy enough for me... however the chassis is sublime :smt055 and made up for the BHP deficit. ;)
A good friend of mine has a 928 S4 Manual in that same rare colour. There is no shortage of power in that. :supz:
