Who proof reads this nonsense before going to press? Big error, more fodder for 'cutters'! :banghead: |
They were a no cost option & like the radio most people chose this option.

A good bit of the issue this month is dedicated to //M-cars, which is nice to see

What's the point of paying £4.70 for misinformation (CSL rear seat delete :clown: and what else I wonder) when you can get that on Cutters FOC :-D

Just bought Aussie Top Gear mag and they road test the white M3 Ute (mate) that we saw in Munich. Heading north of Daintree now to some lodge so will be off grid for a few days (no mobile/web access) but will post up pics on return :)

well, I like the part where they introduced the original CSL as the daddy of the M-Division. Trumps the M1 and everything else.
"In the Beginning - The M1 was the original car to carry the designation, but the CSL was first out of the M division. In early 72, BMW's number two Bob Lutz poached Jochen Neerpasch from Ford and tasked him with setting up a new competition arm of the firm, which had withdrawn from motor sport at the end of 1970. Lutz recognized the engineering and marketing benefits that racing would bring.........They managed it, delivering the European Touring Car Championship in 73 - a win that Neerpasch credits with forming the basis for the Motorsport Group. Having gained acceptance from the parent company, it could develop in directions that would lead to the M1 and BMW's existing road cars." :-D |
