Interior Re-finishing

Hi All

I am new to the forum and CSL's. I purchased a 70k mile car last week which needs a little TLC to get the interior as i want it .

Can anyone recommend somebody to re-upholster the steering wheel, console between the back seats and back of the driver and passenger seat .

I was think of having the seats and steering wheel plastic painted or wrapped and there are a couple of german companies on ebay who cover the steering wheels .

I can buy all of the parts new although a thousand quid for something that doesn't really need doing and just me being a fussy git .

I'm in the process if fitting brand new disks and pads all round ( OEM BMW ) as they are quite rusty. The rears are good condition ( pads nearly new ) other than rust if anyone is interested in the old. The front ones are grooved quite badly .

Any help appreciated

Thanks and love the car. A 10 year old car shouldn't be this good ?! :smt055

Bit of a stickler for the standard look i'm afraid although appreciate the advice. Ciao

you did mention wrapped. Though you were looking for carbon look or something.

If you intent to respray, they are quite easy to do. I resprayed my door handles and smg surround. Was easy and never looked back as they still look fresh and OEM. :-D

do you know what colour code i need to use, if i get it resprayed. i think spraying sounds like the best idea to me.

Thanks again

Shimmy had some interior parts sprayed, I'm sure he will tell you where. No one has managed to do the seat backs :(

No idea on paint, but it's a very good match. I had them do it with a few other bits while they did the subframe, so I will have to check - documents are at work though.

I only have a couple of really small marks on the back but wish I had known Elms could have sorted it :(

Spoke to Elms and Emma there tells me they dont refurb the rear centre console or steering wheel plastic and never have done so. She has however replaced a few with new. I have spoke to a couple of smart repair firms who say they will be able to match colour ( unable to sort rubberised finish on rear centre console though ) and air brush, so will keep you posted.

Ciao

I beg to differ:
I have an invoice here in front of me from Elms for the when they did the repairs I mentioned above (while they had the car for the subframe) - they actually offered the service when I showed them around the car:
Repair centre console £105.00
Paint and materials = £30.00

Smart repair of OSF seat back and OS door scratches = £145.00
(All plus VAT).

I'm really fussy about the car, so I had them mop out all the imperfections in the paintwork I had spotted when I cleaned it for the first time (as well as a car-park dent that the previous owner obviously hadn't spotted, which you could only see in certain light, which was an additional £50 + VAT).

I would add that this was all carried out by Elms Bedford who do all the subframe repairs for Elms Cambourne, which may be why Emma isn't aware of it?
