Mine's in at Litchfields beginning of November for a service, alignment and perhaps an upgrade from Stage 2 to Stage 4. I have to say, though, it doesn't feel like it needs any more power. I hit 178mph on the autobahn on my last DE trip and it was still pulling strong.

Are either of you guys tempted to do the CATD training?

Is it simply the outright power that wins the GTR over? It just surprises me so many of you are jumping from what some people say is the ultimate drivers car to one driven by computers?

Lucky enough to have both, but getting to the point where one of them is going to have to depart, and I am struggling to decide. GTR does drive itself most of the time, and my sense is that it takes crazy commitment on track to get the most out of it. You've got to switch the stability off and get comfortable with the car moving around beneath you at speed. I don't have the balls for that. CSL murders it for emotion, driver involvement, balance, character and class.

However...

...if you drive the GTR and hop back into the CSL, it feels as slow as a 1.2 Fiesta. The turbo boost and the effortless acceleration is pretty addictive.

On another note, was at Spa earlier this week. Good to see a couple of CSLs even though the weather was crap. Good to meet you Barry. :supz:

Same position as you Gregor one needs to go soon but think it will be gtr. Had gtr on track and it feels heavy prefer Csl on track. Gtr acceleration is addictive with 0-60 under 3 secs using it as a daily just now not as much grip as people think it does move about quite a bit.

Well I have sold the BBS CHR's, so the 888 will either be up for sale, or going onto the standard rims.

And to the people who think they drive themselves, up to a point they are easy to drive, but push on and its another animal. And traction off is a must.

Very lucky to have both! And your diagnosis is almost as I suspected really. Especially getting back into the CSL and it feeling slow.

I'd love to go out in a GTR that's being driven properly and see what these cars are all about

I took the boss of my mate out for a couple of laps in the GTR at Bedford and we had to pull in so he could throw up.

My talent levels are, approximately, about a tenth of what is needed to get the best out of the GTR. I would also want a roll cage and some serious new cajones to take it to the absolute limit. CSL feels much more fit for purpose on track.

Having said all that, CSL is going for sale once it's back from Elms as I can't justify the cost of storage and it's criminal not to drive it. I am going to be gutted, I'm sure. I'll post details soon, and I hope someone from here buys it rather than endure Pistonheads.
