It would be bloody funny!!!!

I have just rang BMW Parts and BMW UK to make sure this doesn't happen.

Let me know if you get a ETA.

This might sound a little crazy, but from what I've seen of the thread in the US with guys converting their cars into full CSL engine management, airbox, MAP sensors ect ... you don't actually need the CSL cams to make CSL power - in fact with a good tune I've seen the standard M3 cams make more power than the CSL.

There's enough adjustment in the Vanos to take into account of slightly less duration of the standard M3 cams, you are simply moving the torque curve that's all ... overall power it'll still be the same as the lifts in both cams are the same (in fact I actually believe the M3 cams are ever so slightly higher than the CSL in lift when measured).

CSL cams are hollow - so I guess there's that ... Exhaust valves are different also - the exhaust valves are basically identical to the P54 motorsport engine valves (designs are basically exactly the same, I believe the material used is slightly different however)

But if it's the power you are concerned about I'd just put the stock M3 cams in for the time being whilst you wait for the CSL cams to come from Germany if it ever does!!
