Sorry Bravo 73,The entire car was shipped to some madman in Denmark or Norway, cant remenber which.
I believe he was going to use engine /gearbox etc to make some sort of a track day weapon., I was sooooo gutted at the time, the bloody thing was mint with 8K on the clock. plus I had only had the car for 36 hours.
Ah well, I went off back to the UK and bought choise number two which is the car THAT I currently have.

How much did you get for it when you sold it in that condition?

whopwop 30-10-2008 08:31 PM

Alot more that the insurance company were giving me for scrap value.
I'd rather not say exactly how much, but i actually made money on the entire transaction between what the insurance company coughed up and what I sold the wreckage for......thank god for fully comp policys

What a cool country to have your King owning a CSL (& crashing it!!)

As a Swede and CSL owner ( only 7 cars + 2 presscars to Sweden)
quite proud. I did the Scuderia Hanseat with him and his son autumn 2007. He still has the the CSL. He is a huge BMW fan, has an M5 as well.
His bodyguards the the course in that car...

Only 9 CSLs? You wouldn't happen to drive the Swedish CSL with half-cage that i've seen at the Ring a couple of times recently? :-D
