Well when you say it like that a fact it must be. I've only been developing, designing and tuning suspension for twenty years so I know sod all about it.

Missed this Pooky....I've been so busy revelling in my own self importance.

So stock suspension is superior to aftermarket. At last someone's put me straight and just in the nick of time.

To be honest an argument about it is pointless.

If we ever sit down over a coffee I can share with you the vehicle dynamics theory, data I've measured and the reasons why that, yes, on the road, the stock suspension is better.

The real question here though is what is better and that's where we'll never agree.

Better than what though? I have the H&R coilovers and every CSL owner who has stock suspension (which I still have, but have never experienced), who has been in my car, comments on how better it rides than their cars, as well as having better roll-control. This is why I have kept it on the car instead of "upgrading" it to KWs or the like, as I am loath to ruin what seems to be a "win, win" set-up.....

I think going from aftermarket to stock feels like a rolls Royce, its lovely for the road.

After using aftermarket it can feel slightly wallowy though

But brand new suspension and springs are spot on for the road.

Mike, my original comments earlier on in the thread have been misinterpreted leading to holy batman thread deviation.

Have to agree with you and Billy. My experience with oem & aftermarket simply came down to convenience. Intrax, Nitron and other high quality coilovers offer bollock hard for the track and come home time, turn back adjusters a few knotches and enjoy a compliant, Rolls Royce ride home.

Ive just today, got my csl back from being prepped for sale.
The Dixus titanium exhaust,Kw's and AP have all been replaced with the OEM csl parts.
I thought that i would hate driving it home as it would feel a shadow of it's former self.
How wrong i was!
It feels far less raw and menacing but equally, has gained some finesse and grace.

Shame really as i was hoping that i'd fall out of love with her and selling up wouldnt be so hard:hahaha:

a pic in oem form..

Great to hear you kept the car......for some reason I thought you'd sold up last year.

PS Awesome vid of you chasing down the GTS @ Spa. Dixis is an amazing system. Retro OEM fit seems all the rage at the mo.
