Did you know that running too close to the pit wall on the run down to Eau Rouge causes friction, and therefore slows you down ?? ... and on that bombshell ...goodnight !:smokin:

Quick question from a Spa virgin, what's the track like on tyres?

The dilemma i have is that i have a set of 1/2 worn cups, a set of slightly worn cups (half a track day) and a set of reasonably worn PS2s, plus two sets of rims.

As i'm not taking a van, trailer or the like, what's my best combination going to be?

I was thinking about putting the 1/2 worn cups on the car and taking the fresh cups. BUT, knowing that Spa can often be wet, would i be more sensible taking the PS2s?

Cups.............

anything else is just wrong!

the track is not particularly hard on tyres unless like anywhere, you stay out too long or you have crap geo.

half worn set of cups is good for 4000 miles so lets say 3000 miles and a trackday

if it rains theyll be fine, just be very careful if lots of deep standing water.

Sorry, haven't been on for ages. Mine with rears all round. Run minimum of -3 degrees.

Sorry also to Flow. Didn't know that was you mate. Didn't have my timing on board for this trip so no idea of times. When you came pass me I tagged onto you for a good 5 laps until you cooled off and went in. What times were we doing then out of interest?

On monday most of my times were around 2.57 i think .
Was my first trackday of the year and was trying some other driving lines .
I used to have alot of understeer in some corners (bruxelles) but now with the -3 camber at the front i could go alot faster in those corners so i was trying to see how fast and were to hit the apex ....

I was there also on tuesday and it was a trackday with 30 cars and sunny whole the day and most of the times were around 2.55 and the fastest my performance box recorded was 2.54.2 .

How do you like the rear wheels at the front ??
And what tire size are you running .
