I'm booked in for a set of 4xPSS on Friday, so I can give some first impressions. Price was £1066 from Blackboots/Wheels-in-Motion in Chesham, and I'm also going to get them to do a geometry check at the same time.
The price is a few quid more than Event, who were the absolute cheapest, but I've used Blackboots a few times, as they're a cut above the usual tyre places and also the only one I've yet found near here that seems to be able to balance 19s consistently well. |
i have just put new cup's on the rear and i am thinking do i go cup's or super sport on the front, any advice ! (fronts got a few thou left yet)

I have had my super sports on for about a month now, used the car slot the last few days and have to say they are excellent, better than PS 2's.

Anybody tried these on track yet or the Ring? I had a set put on yesterday and i am thinking should i leave second set with cups at home and just use PSS as i cant be arsed with that extra stuff for a long journey or take cups anyway as ive got a 2 dayer there next week.

It depends what you want from your trip? And how well you know your car?
Have you been before? The PSS would be ok to go and learn the track IMO, the tyres supposedly lower limits will mean that you are travelling that little bit slower,when you go round that corner expecting it to turn right when it turns left...... Or if you are a nutcase just put the cups on and leave them on as the weather is looking fantastic for this week ahead at the ring:smokin::smokin: I'll see you at the pk then |
I couldn't believe my eyes earlier watching the BTCC, the baby Ginetta's were running Michelin PSS, they looked fantastic on them, instantly recognisable! :thumbs:
