Not a lot of ppl know this, but did you know that they have space underneath the decking that you see for another coffin ! ...sort of a bogof I suppose ! Saves em going back to the Funeral Parlour for the next job !!
We banger raced one many years ago in my youth, a lovely Daimler Majestic with a 4.5 litre V8 in it, weighs about 2 tonnes ! We had "room for one more inside" painted on it ! It was a Team Race where the rules were ... there are no rules ! other than no deliberate striking the drivers door .... unless you came through the passengers one ! Should have seen the other teams faces when we rolled in with that on ! ... and then their jaws really did drop when the rest of us turned up in 3 litre Rovers and an Austin Cambridge (me, I was the runner set to get the laps whilst the others were blockers) ! We lined up side by side and they dropped the flag, and my mate floored this Daimler .. shiiiiiiit !! He ended up pushing a heap of 3 Austin Cambridges into the first fence ..all locked up and scary faces ! :hahaha:. Happy days ...needless to say I won the race for us no problemo ! They didnt have a car running funnily enough ... but some of the fookers started on the key no problem when the race finished ! ha ha pussys! ... Im rambling now ... and dreaming of days gone by :bigcry:
