I love the bonnet, where did you get it from, how much was it and most importantly how much weight did it save? ;)

EDIT: was writing this and Sergio posted in between.

Its a Vorsteiner one Dan.

And there are people on the US forums that have weighed them and say they are heavier than stock.

Regardless Vorsteiner quote 18lbs saving for the double sided carbon version and 13lbs saving for the single carbon version.

Maybe el buta can tell us if he weighed his.

Thanks guy's, if there was a significant saving to be had then I would say it's worth it, price dependent of course, but heavier than stock is just a waste of money! :bigcry:

I do know someone who does superb CF work and has full on degree's in aerodynamics etc, he's a very competant guy so might approach him for some work, leave the engine alone and save weight, much better IMO ;)

Sergio, I think your online translator isnt working properly here. I posted for Dan that there are people in the US that say that the Vorsteiner bonnet weighs more than the original one in aluminium. Vorsteiner says that you should gain 13-18lbs depending on if its the full carbon or DVWP/carbon version. Did you weigh yours before putting it on the car?
