Believe it or not, the mods make hardly any difference to insurance, as for resale; a lot of E36's are modified and there is a large market for them on certain website, Pistonheads, E36Coupe, M3cutters, etc.

Shame though, compared to a standard M3, mine drives unbelieveably well.
